Felix Mildenberger is Principal Guest Conductor of the Filarmonica TRT and Designated General Music Director of the Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt. The press has described him as “young, dynamic, energetic, determined, and full of expressive body language.” Since winning the Donatella Flick LSO Conducting Competition in 2018, he has quickly established himself internationally.

He has conducted renowned orchestras such as the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the DSO Berlin, the NDR Radiophilharmonie, the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Frankfurt Radio Symphony, the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Ensemble Modern, the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, among others, and has collaborated with soloists including Julia Fischer, Sabine Meyer, Daniel Lozakovich, and James Ehnes.

He has gained operatic experience at the Bavarian State Opera, the Aspen Opera Center, and the Deutsche Oper Berlin, where he made his debut in 2024 with George Benjamin’sWritten on Skin.

His path led him from violin, viola, and piano to studies in conducting in Freiburg, Vienna, and at the Aspen Music Festival. After several years as an assistant to conductors such as Simon Rattle and Paavo Järvi, he was awarded the Prix Young Artist of the Year in 2020 and was included in the German Music Council’sMaestros of Tomorrowlist in 2021.
