We are delighted to welcome soprano Magdalena Lucjan to the Artists' Secretariat at the Gasteig!
We first became aware of Magdalena during the Szymanowski Competition in Katowice, where she was awarded 1st prize in 2023, and have accompanied the young Polish soprano on her journey ever since. We would now like to congratulate her on her sensational win at the prestigious NEUE STIMMEN 2024 competition in Gütersloh!
Magdalena will soon be appearing in three productions at the Semperoper in Dresden: In November as Papagena in Mozart's Magic Flute, as Mother in Ändere die Welt, a pasticcio with music by various composers from Beethoven and Wagner to Weill and Eisler in December. And in February 2025, the roles of the Princess and the Nightingale in Ravel's L'enfant et les sortilèges will follow.
