Katharina Konradi comes from Bishkek/Kyrgyzstan and came to Germany at the age of 15. Here her special musicality was discovered at school and thanks to her unique voice, trained by Julie Kaufmann in Berlin and Christiane Iven in Munich, the artist could make singing her passionate profession.

After being under contract at the Hessisches Staatstheater in Wiesbaden for three years at the beginning of her career, the artist made her debut as Ännchen in Der Freischütz at the Hamburg State Opera in 2018 and has been associated with the house as a permanent ensemble member since then.

Major opera houses quickly became aware of the young soprano as she sings the important roles in her field. In the season 2023/24 alone, she can be heard as Woglinde in Rheingold in London at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, as Susanna in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro at the Vienna State Opera, as Adele in Die Fledermaus (new production/Barry Kosky) at the Bavarian State Opera, as Valencienne in Die lustige Witwe (new production/Barry Kosky) at Zurich Opera, as Servilia in Mozart's Titus and as Adina in Elisir d'amore at the Hamburg State Opera.

In addition to these productions, the focus of her activities is on various concert projects, which she has sung under the baton of conductors such as Thomas Hengelbrock, Daniel Harding, Manfred Honeck, Paavo Järvi, Kent Nagano and Gustavo Dudamel.

Lied is a particular passion of the young soprano. In the season 2023/24 she will once again give regular recitals at international venues such as the Schubertiada in Vilabertran, the Schubertiade in Hohenems/ Schwarzenberg, the Wigmore Hall in London, the Zarzuela Theater in Madrid, the Palau de la Musica in Barcelona or at the Festival de Granada.

The art of Katharina Konradi is also documented on CD. Recently released by the label Berlin Classics is the much acclaimed recording “Insomnia” with songs by Franz Schubert (accompanied by Ammiel Bushakevitz on piano as on guitar). In March 2022 the Chandos Label released the CD “Russian Roots” with the Trio Gaspard. Also in 2022, Naxos released her recordings of Mozart Masses together with the Bavarian Radio Choir and Haydn's Schöpfung with the International Bach Academy under Hans-Christoph Rademann.
